iPhone-Charging bags by Kate Spade & Everpurse

If you're into your wearables, you may already know about Everpurse. What you may not know is that they have just partnered with the well-established fashion brand, Kate Spade New York. Typically known for their bags and with an existing range of stylish iPhone cases, it's no wonder that Kate Spade has taken this bold move. Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Mary Beech has also said Kate Spade & Co. is “committed to digital innovation,” and designing for “customers who live a life on-the-go” (katespadeandcompany.com).

"The collection, which will be available this September includes bags–clutches, wristlets, totes and backpacks–that will be sold by Kate Spade New York stores, Kate Spade online, Nordstrom and Everpurse.com. The bags will cost between $198 and $698. They will have the ability to charge iPhones including all models from iPhone 5 through the iPhone 6 Plus. The bags themselves are never plugged into a wall outlet, but instead rest on a charging mat, which sends energy wirelessly into a battery inside."

I think the clutches and wristlets are a great idea as a backup for a night out; it's my worst nightmare to get stranded after losing battery, plus I'm too reliant on Uber! I'm not so sure about integrating the technology into totes and backpacks though... you can easily pop a wireless/portable charger into any of your favourite bags. Either way, I still can't wait to see the full range. Stay posted for more updates!
